The Public Administration Reform Council Concludes that Implementation Dynamics of the Measures Anticipated Under the Public Administration Reform Strategy Action Plan are Being Intensified

Today, the Public Administration Reform Council held the fifth session in the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia. The session was chaired by Prime Minister Zoran Zaev.
The Council has adopted the minutes of the previous session and pursuant to the established practice, the Ministry of Information Society and Administration will publish it on its website.
"In the light of the conclusions of the fourth session, I would like to welcome the transparency of the institutions’ operation and encourage you to continue with regular reporting and sharing of relevant public administration reform documents," said Prime Minister Zaev, pointing out the importance and complexity of the reform, which, as underlined, should result in a professional and departisized public administration.
The Minister of Information Society and Administration, Damjan Manchevski, has addressed the Council session and presented the first Annual Report on the Implementation of the Public Administration Reform Strategy Action Plan 2018-2022.
The Council has adopted the Annual Report on the session, and has also reached a decision that the Report will be adopted by the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia.
According to Minister Manchevski, this Report focuses on results and includes indicators that enable progress monitoring and result measurement.
"Having regard to the reorganization and optimization of state administration bodies, agencies and inspection services, as well as in view of the new Law on Senior Civil Service, we hereby present the manners of major changes that should be made in the system, which should be visible and refer to the manner of civil sector operation" said Minister Manchevski, presenting the manners that reorganization and harmonization of state institutions can be implemented, with an emphasis on strengthening the evaluation of senior civil servants’ work.
The Council members were unanimous that the implementation dynamics of the measures from the Public Administration Reform Strategy Action Plan will be in intensified.
At the end, Prime Minister Zaev emphasized the importance of regular monitoring and implementation of the activities anticipated under the Action Plan by all relevant institutions in order to achieve full implementation of anticipated results.
