Today, North Macedonia and the United Kingdom hold a one-day expert workshop on cyber-security in Skopje, organized as part of their collaborative relations. The underlying aim of this worshop is to establish specific initiatives in support of the process of capacity building in the field of cyber-security, as well as to enhance cooperation between both countries.

The Minister of Information Society and Administration, Damjan Manchevski, attends the first meeting dedicated to the ICT Dialogue between EU and the Western Balkans, held in Brussels.

European Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society Mariya Gabriel officially opened the meeting and among the participants are Minister Manchevski and line ministers from Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania and Kosovo.

The Ministry of Information Society and Administration continues to implement measures stipulated under the National Operational Broadband Plan.

For that purpose, during its last session, the Government adopted the information on mapping public institutions and locations for free Wi-Fi access.

With a view to improve state-of-affairs in utilization of broadband services and well as speed thereof, the Government adopted the National Operational Broadband Plan - NOBP (2019 - 2022). The underlying aim is to reach speed and utilization of broadband that are in place in EU member-states.

The document was delivered to the EU for comment, whereby a positive report was issued thereto.

Starting today, citizens of North Macedonia, during any travel to the countries from the region, i.e. Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Serbia and Montenegro, will be able to connect to and use the Internet, send SMS messages, receive and make calls for prices lowered up to 99%. This was announced today by the Minister of Information Society and Administration, Damjan Manchevski.

Today, the Minister of Information Society and Administration, Damjan Manchevski, met with the members of the team "Space Walkers“, after their big success of winning second place of the international FIRST LEGO League event, organized in Lebanon. This event is a competition in educational robotics held in over 98 countries, and this year 40,000 teams have participated.
